Sunday picking Sloes

Last Sunday my friend Anne kindly asked me to go down to her house and pick some Sloes for making Sloe Gin/Vodka.

In fairness she did warn me that the weather might not be too nice.... :-(
I did wear old clothes, borrowed some wellies /wet weather jacket.

Well this first picture shows me after Anne had 'helped' me climb a small bank and start picking some fruit

It had just started raining, but you think its not going to be too bad....how wrong were we. Anne did say' don't worry your skin is waterproof !!' but my clothes certainly weren't.

This second picture doesn't really show how wet I was..

It was a really thoroughly enjoyable day though, we got loads of sloes, and there was loads more to come.
