I have seen the doctor/nurse this morning and I am allowed back to work tomorrow after three weeks off. I mustn't overdo it though !!
Funnily enough I am looking forward to it, BUT.....give me a couple of hours and I will be wishing myself back home again though.
I totally underestimated how I would feel after the operation, thinking I would be fit and well again after a week or so....its never that easy :-)
I have spent the last couple of days sorting out computers / laptops and Ipads, making sure before I hand my notebook across to Gary that I have all the information from it that I need.
I have also been planning my neighbours Scrapbook album, pages are really starting to take shape. Just got to print off the titles, and sort out the embellishments and I will be ready to put them together. better get a move on as it has to be completed by the 1st March.
If you can bear with me and photos, as that is proving more of a problem to transfer from notebook to PC and not using the Ipad. Its another thing on my never ending jobs to do. (sorting out the photos).
Anyway better close for today, wish me luck for tomorrow,
Live, Laugh and Love, Elaine xx xx

I am sure the day will go really smoothly!!! Jill x
Hi Elaine, thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. Sounds like we've gone through quite similar experiences although I couldn't have my surgery by keyhole. I had a huge (4cm diameter) gallstone, lots more smaller ones and a lot of 'sludge' and basically my gallbladder was a "stinking mess of infection" (the surgeon's words!) so had to have full abdominal surgery (ouch! - breastbone to navel). My recovery is taking much longer than I'd anticipated too. I had to have mine in the Meavy Clinic in Derriford as my surgeon (Cmdr Lambert) didn't have any slots at the Nuffield but I received excellent treatment. Sadly, I spent the first 4 days post-op throwing up and having to have injections to stop it, so don't know what the food is like in the Meavy !! Am well on the mend now though and the pain is subsiding, although I'm still not able to do a lot. Sorry to hear about your saliver gland stone - spookily I suffered this a few years ago - so I know exactly how painful it can be. I do get flare ups on and off when it gets infected again but these are less and less frequent as the years pass - suck acid drops! Hope you are back to full health soon and ready to enjoy that retreat - I'm quite jealous :o) LOL
hugs
