Firstly, if you are having bad days or sleepless nights, then I have done some research and I have found out that having a 'haven' where you can go, relax, chill out, be quiet, listen to music. Either at your workplace or at home. I am going to use my car if at work, quiet relaxing music, keep a book with me, and if I need to take the car up onto The Hoe and sit and watch the world go by. If I need my haven at home, it will be in my craft room, I have a lovely old chair, blanket, sat beside the radiator beside the window, again a book and quiet music. How about you? How do you relax when stressed.
Secondly, whilst reading an article recently, it said to make a list of people you admire and why? They can come from your family, friends, be dead or alive, from history or modern times? I will start mine with.....
- My Nan - Ivy Wood, she had her first and only child at 40 years of age, during WW2, which must have been very tough in those days. Before that she had been one of the first members of the women's royal air force, during WW1 I think. A very formidable but lovely lady. I was very close to her and my grandad during my formative years.
I will add to this list as and when.
It would be interesting to see who you admire and why? Please feel free to comment.
