As many of you know, Gary and I were away at Praa Sands in deepest Cornwall over the Christmas week.
We had a fabulous time, it is a peaceful and beautiful part of Cornwall. As you are probably aware the weather was challenging at times, with high winds and heavy rain, luckily the cottage was fairly sheltered from most of it.
Everyday we went out, mainly to beaches, and as we had no mobile phone or wifi signal at the cottage, we were always on the lookout to get a signal to keep in contact with friends and family, making sure all was Ok at home. It was very weird not to have any contact at home.
Picture above is Sennen Cove. The sea was very rough and a lot of people were standing watching these waves coming over the rocks
This is a view at Cape Cornwall, one of the most southerly points in England. It was very wild and windy.
Boxing Day at St Ives, the best day of the holiday, no wind, blue sky and warm. We sat out on the harbour eating lunch.
We even took our Christmas Tree with us. I was a very lucky girl as I had lots of lovely presents including an IPod shuffle, books, watch, brooch, money.
We have brought home some great memories of our week away.
Hope you had a great Christmas with family and friends.
